La Palmyre Zoo, created in 1965, is the most popular privately-owned zoo in France, and one of the most beautiful in Europe
The zoo displays more than 1,600 animals across a vast wooded area, at the heart of the Coubre forest.
The animals are free to roam huge sensitively landscaped areas, and every year the park celebrates scores of births. It’s a real delight to take a stroll with your family here, discovering the fauna of five continents and learning more about the species which are on display.
